Rabun Gap Students win Jack and Nancy Beaver Essay Contest

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is congratulating Charlotte McSwain ’26, Lauren Eubanks ’24, and Greg Seok ’27 for being named the winners of this year’s Jack and Nancy Beaver Essay contest. Honorable mentions were Abby Hartridge ’26 and Ivanna Zermeno ’26. The Rabun Gap Upper School Humanities Department sponsors this essay contest each year to honor the tenure and contributions of Nancy and Jack Beaver, who served our community for 35 years in various ways, including Ms. Beaver’s leadership of the English Department and Mr. Beaver’s service as the school counselor. Ms. Beaver’s tireless dedication to improving the grammar and writing of each and every Rabun Gap student continues to inspire the faculty. This contest promotes the importance of clear, engaging writing, and provides Rabun Gap students with an opportunity to develop and refine a personal essay on a shared topic, which varies from year to year.
