Rabun Gap Students to compete for National and Statewide Honors

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School reports that two of its students have earned a chance to compete for spots in prestigious national and statewide honors and scholar programs based on their excellence in academics. Mandy He ’24 has been invited to apply for the U.S. Department of Education’s Presidential Scholars Program. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Kite Stribling ’25 has been announced as a semifinalist for the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. Only around 1,500 students in the state were accepted as semifinalists. Kite was nominated in the area of world languages. GHP is a residential summer program for skilled, knowledgeable, and talented high school sophomores and juniors. This year’s program will be held at Georgia Southern University.
