Rabun Gap Students recognized for “Pippin”

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School congratulates the @rabungaparts crew, cast, and faculty of this year’s musical, “Pippin,” for multiple recognitions from the @artsbridgega Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards/Shuler Hensley Awards.  “Pippin” was named the Spotlight Winner for production design and execution. The Spotlight award is one of two major recognitions for the top musical productions across the state.  Rabun Gap also earned four award nominations and one honorable mention. The award winners will be announced at the Shuler Awards ceremony on April 20, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Nominations included  Lillie Davis ’23 for Scenic Design;  Rain Huchteman ’23 for Lighting;  Ms. Heidi Spoon for Choreography; and Mr. Sean Lakey and  Rain Huchteman ’23 for Technical Execution. Ella Loveland’23 earned an honorable mention for Costume Design.  Fashioned after Boadway’s Tony Awards, the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards program celebrates excellence in high school musical theater.
