Rabun Gap Chapter of Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League Meeting

The Rabun Gap Chapter of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League meets Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at 6pm in Saint James Episcopal Church to address the proposed sale or exchange of U.S. Forest Service lands in Rabun County.  This proposed sale or exchange falls under the recently enacted 2018 Farm Bill section titled Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest Land Adjustment Act. The speaker will be Marie Klein Dunkle with Georgia Forest Watch who will provide the most current information on this issue.  Rabun County is comprised of over 60% protected U.S. forest land. All are welcome to come and bring your concerns and questions.
