Rabun County Rolls Past Towns County 45-7

The Rabun County Wildcats dominate at home against the Towns county Indians Friday night.

After a few botched drives in the first quarter, Rabun County hit their stride, scoring 45 unanswered points and shutting out the Towns County Indians for three quarters.

Towns County began the scoring with a touchdown in the first quarter. Rabun County answered with a first quarter touchdown of their own after forcing a turnover on downs.

The Wildcats then went on to score four touchdowns in the second quarter, as well as one more in the fourth, in addition to a third quarter field goal.

Rabun County Quarterback Wes Holcombe threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns, and was Sky104’s Player of the Game.

The Wildcats also returned a punt for a touchdown to add to the lead.

Rabun County moves to 2-0 on the season, and will travel next week to take on Commerce.

Towns County remains winless at 0-5, and will take on Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School next week.
