Rabun County under Wind Chill Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for portions of Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, and Northeast Georgia, including Rabun County from 1am on Friday, December 23, 2022, to 1pm on Saturday, December 24, 2022.  Wind chills as low as 10 below zero are expected.  A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.  If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
