Rabun County Sends a Delegate to the DNC

A candidate from Rabun County who will be on the ballot in November for a state seat has spent this week in North Carolina at the Democratic National Convention.

Jana Hill, who is running for the position of State Representative in the 8th District, is at the convention as an elected delegate of the old 10th U.S. Congressional District.

Hill explained what it means to be a delegate at the convention.

“I get to participate in all the convention proceedings,” said Hill.  “I’ve been attending various caucus meetings, and listening to people speaking about the concerns and values of the democratic party.”

She has been at the convention since Monday, and was in attendance Thursday night to hear President Obama speak.
