Rabun County Schools going Virtual amidst COVID-19

With the rising cases of COVID-19, Rabun County Schools will be going virtually for the remainder of 2020, says Superintendent Dr. April Childers.  “We’ve decided that all students will be learning virtually from Wednesday through Friday of this week.  We plan to return to face-to-face instruction on Jan. 5, 2021, but with the current situation with COVID-19 and the number of employees and students in quarantine, we felt that it was necessary to go virtual for a few days to keep everybody safe and sound.”  Recently, 28 employees and over 100 students were quarantined due to COVID-19 in Rabun County Schools despite the school system being proactive about social distancing and wearing masks to stop the spread of the respiratory virus.
