Rabun County Victorious in the First Game of the Lee Shaw Era

The Rabun County Wildcats come away with a victory in Friday night’s contest against Hayesville, NC.

The Wildcat defense held Hayesville to one rushing touchdown and collected two interceptions in their 20-6 win over the Yellow Jackets.

The Wildcat offense put a field goal through the uprights to take an early 3-0 lead, and never looked back throughout the rest of the night.

They added one touchdown in both the second and third quarters, as well as one final field goal in the fourth quarter to cap off their offensive effort.

Quarterback Wes Holcombe was Friday night’s Sky104 Player of the Game.

Rabun County will attempt to move to 2-0 on the season this Friday against Towns County in the newly renovated Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium.

The Towns County Indians are 0-4 on the season after losing to Fellowship Christian 17-12 on Friday.
