Rabun County classified as Medium for COVID-19

COVID-19 has not gone away, in fact, District 2 Public Health is now classifying Rabun County as being in the medium threat level for the virus.  According to the latest figures ending on July 11, 2022, there have been 2,901 total positive cases of COVID-19 in Rabun County with 165 people being diagnosed with the respiratory virus in the last 14 days.  In addition, there have been 266 total hospitalizations and 83 total deaths attributed to the virus in Rabun County since the beginning of the pandemic.  So far, 23,025 vaccines have been administered with 9,384 people receiving one dose or 56% of residents in the county, and 8,551 people being fully vaccinated, which is 51% of residents.
