Rabun Co. Voters encouraged to take advantage of Absentee Ballots

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic threatening public health in Georgia and around the world, Georgia voters are being mailed absentee ballot request forms.  This extraordinary effort to ensure all Georgians can vote without fear for their health will supplement extra measures to ensure those who rely on in-person voting to access the ballot can do so safely.  Rabun County Elections Supervisor Tammy Whitmire encourages everyone to read and sign the forms. “Please keep an eye out for an application. It’s going to be to every active voter in Rabun County. Fill that out, make sure that you are filling it out completely, and choose the ballot style that you would like to receive whether that is Democrat, Republican, or Nonpartisan.  I would also like to remind people that Nonpartisan is for the questions and the candidates that are mostly judges and those Nonpartisan candidates will also be on both ballots. So, just make sure you are choosing the right ballot style and that you are signing that application so that we can get that ballot into you.”  If you have questions, you can call the Rabun County Board of Elections and Registration at 706-782-1878 between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
