Rabun Co. Sheriff’s Office looking for Stolen Vehicle

Arrest warrants have been signed for two people accused of stealing a car from a residence on Dickie Lane off of North Germany Mountain Road in Clayton.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 23, 2020, a deputy received a report of a stolen 1998 Mercedes Benz C230 that is valued at $2,000.  Also, approximately $2,000 worth of tools were taken from the residence.  After interviewing the complainant, warrants were obtained for 38-year-old Jesse Tate Swafford of Murphy, North Carolina, and 36-year-old Nicole Michelle Sowerby of Marble, North Carolina, for felony theft by taking.  The vehicle has been entered into the Georgia Crimes Information Center and the National Crimes Information Center database as stolen.
