Rabun Co. Sheriff’s Office investigating Three Recent Thefts

Three recent thefts in Rabun County are under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.  On October 14, 2022, a deputy responded to Rick Buchanan Construction on Highway 441 about one of his work trucks being missing.  The vehicle is a black 2004 Ford F350 with a silver aluminum toolbox in the back.  The truck is valued at $10,000.  On October 20, 2022, a deputy spoke with a Clayton woman about a missing FedEx package.  She told the deputy that she ordered an Acer projector online and FedEx marked it as delivered on October 7.  She contacted FedEx and the seller and the seller said that they will not replace it unless she files a report with law enforcement.  The projector is valued at $1,236.  On October 20, 2022, a deputy was dispatched to Vulcan Materials on Po Folks Lane to take a report on a stolen pistol.  The deputy spoke with a woman, who stated that she bought a pistol and gave it to her daughter and she noticed it was no longer in her truck.  The Smith and Wesson pistol is valued at $599.
