Rabun Co. Health Department hosts Successful Diaper Day

Several new and expecting moms took advantage of Diaper Day on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Rabun County Health Department, explains Office Manager Sue Darnell.  “We must of had 50 participants, maybe 60, we didn’t do a count, but it was very successful. We gave away diapers, baby wipes, and we had a lot of new moms and a lot of expecting moms.  So, we are really excited about it and we plan to do another one in May. We had people from the District Office, Amerigroup, and Lacy Carter, who came up with the idea of a diaper drive.  So, it was really exciting and everybody really seemed to enjoy it.”  This was a free event at the Rabun County Health Department, which is located at 184 South Main Street in Clayton.
