Pursuit on GA 15 ends in Crash and Arrest

A Tennessee woman stands charged with obstructing law enforcement officers, fleeing, reckless driving, and hit and run after a pursuit that ended in a crash on September 23, 2023. The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that 33-year-old Isadora Martinelli was arrested on the charges following deputies being dispatched to Old 441 South in the area of Wiley Connector in reference to a vehicle blocking the roadway and the female driver appearing to be distraught. Deputies arrived on the scene and tried making contact with the woman, who just screamed at them and then went down the driveway to Blue Ridge Honey, then through the grass onto Georgia 15 North. The pursuit continued into Wiley and then Clayton and Mountain City weaving in and out of traffic. She entered North Carolina and caused a multi-vehicle accident near the Lowe’s in Franklin. She was then arrested.
