Pool to open soon at Rabun Co. Rec

Lifeguards are still needed at the Rabun County Recreation Department, says Athletic Director Adam Dixon.  “Our pool season, if we can find enough lifeguards, will be opening soon.  We try to do Memorial Day to Labor Day, but that is dependent on lifeguards.  It is usually high school or college kids, young adults, I should say.  So, we have flexible hours and it is a fun job but it is a very meaningful job.”  Applying to be a lifeguard is easy, adds Dixon.  “They can call us at the Rec Department 706-782-4600.  They can come down in person to 400 Rabun Park Drive in Tiger.  They can go to the Courthouse and put in an application.”  These are full-time positions.
