Piedmont University will present Two Free Concerts this Week

The Piedmont Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30pm on Thursday in the Chapel. The concert will include works by John Phillip Sousa, Leroy Anderson, and more. The 15-member ensemble will be conducted by Anand Sukumaran.  On Saturday, The Piedmont Chamber Ensembles will perform in the Chapel. The 7:30pm concert will include works by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, and Ludwig van Beethoven. The production is a collaborative effort between the university’s woodwind and piano studios.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at both events will be limited and registration is required.  Please visit the Fine Arts Event Guidelines webpage to learn more.  The Chapel, located on Central Avenue, is located next to the Conservatory of Music, which houses 27 Steinway pianos. More than 200 students – about 15 percent of Piedmont’s undergraduate population – participate in music academic programs, ensembles, and performances. The Conservatory of Music is an All-Steinway School.
