Piedmont College Ranks Among the “Up-and-Comers”

Among Georgia’s 12 private four-year colleges, Piedmont College ranks sixth, according to a new study by the BestColleges.com website, which noted that Piedmont is “considered one of the up-and-comers among colleges in the state.”

The study examined data from the National Center for Education Statistics to measure academic quality, affordability, and student experience. It included factors such as net price, student debt, admissions rates, graduation rates, and student-faculty ratios.

Emory University, Wesleyan College, and Agnes Scott College took the top three spots among private schools in the ranking, followed by Spelman, Berry, and Piedmont colleges. BestColleges also looked at the state’s public universities, and in the combined rankings of 26 public and private schools, Piedmont took the 13th spot.
