Over 1,100 COVID-19 Cases have been reported in Rabun County

COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Rabun County.  According to the latest figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health, Rabun County now has 1,108 positive cases of the respiratory virus.  There have been 186 cases reported in Rabun County in the last two weeks.  In addition, 19 people have died from the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic.  In neighboring counties, Habersham County reports 3,725 cases and 92 deaths, White County lists 2,170 cases and 35 fatalities, and Towns County has had 766 cases and 26 deaths.  According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of  602,796 positive cases of the virus across the state, of those, 43,629 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 10,035.
