Obituary for Alfred “Bud” Attonito

Alfred W. (Bud) Attonito, 84 of Joe Davis Road, Tiger Georgia died Thursday January 11, 2018 in Landmark Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

Born in Rockville Centre, New York March 31, 1933. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rafaella Venturi Attonito. He was a retired teacher (middle school) with the Rockville Centre School System. He taught for thirty years and taught for another ten years after retirement. Bud was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the St.Helena Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and by eight siblings and is survived by his wife of 64 years after marriage in 1953. Joan Kuenzel Attonito of the Home- by two sons, David Attonito of Loganville, Georgia, John Attonito of Glade Park, Colorado, a brother, Joseph Attonito of Colleyville, Texas, and a sister Helen Munster of Baldwin, New York, one granddaughter Gracie Attonito also survives.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at St. Helena Catholic Church, 137 Meadow Stream Lane, Clayton Georgia, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM – with Father Pedro Poloche officiating.

Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made, in his memory, to St. Helena Catholic Church Benevolence Fund, 137 Meadow Stream Lane, Clayton, Georgia.
