NWS Provides Heat Safety Tips

North American summers are hot; most summers see heat waves in one or more parts of the United States. Heat is one of the leading weather-related killers in the United States, resulting in hundreds of fatalities each year and even more heat-related illnesses.
The National Weather Service provides tips to stay safe during this summer, including to saving activities for later in the day, stay hydrated, as well as take breaks in the shade if you are outside, and to always keep an eye out for children and pets before you exit your vehicle.
