North Georgia Arts Tour to kick off this weekend, Rabun artists featured

Nestled in the southern tip of the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains in Northeast Georgia, Rabun County is a scenic drive from many major metro areas.

The ruggedly beautiful landscape inspires many local artists to create a wide range of arts including painting, sculpture, performance and music.

Tourists and local Rabunites can enjoy these labors this upcoming weekend as the 2018 Nothy Georgia Arts Tour kicks off which will feature many local art galleries located in the heart of Clayton.

The event is a weekend-long celebration of all things local art where artists will be able to be caught in the act as they showcase and demonstrate how they create their particular mediums.

The arts tour will allow out of towners the opportunity to take in the beauty of Rabun County all while at the same time supporting small businesses and artists in their endeavors.

The North Georgia Arts Tour will start on November 9 and will continue through until the 11.

Friday 1-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. -5 p.m., and Sunday 1-4 p.m.
