Norcross Woman arrested for DUI

A Norcross woman stands charged with five offenses including driving under the influence (DUI) after a traffic stop on Georgia 15 at the River Falls Campground.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 2008 Pontiac G6 was stopped for an improper lane change.  The deputy smelled alcohol coming from the driver, 23-year-old Amaris Raquel Clemente of Norcross, and observed a one-year-old child and a six-year-old child in the vehicle.  After failing the field sobriety tests, she was arrested for DUI, two counts of child endangerment, improper lane change, and expired tag.  She was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the charges.
