New RCWSA Building to be ready by January

The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) plans to move into their new building next month.  The final phases of the new office and shop building are wrapping up, says Brendan Thompson, General Manager of the RCWSA.  “Our new office shop is getting close to completion. We have the flooring in, the ceiling tiles are done, we will be doing HVAC this week, so we are getting very close.  We are looking at being in the shop in January. So, it’s been a good project, we’ve got a few more little things to wrap up but like I said we’ll be there in January.”  The Authority plans to hold their next regular monthly meeting in the new building, adds Thompson.  “Regardless of whether we are moved in or not we’re going to have our next meeting there.”  The new building will serve as a shop and office complex where customers can come in and pay their bills in person if they want to. There is a 3,000 square foot area for shop work to repair motors and equipment.  The new building, at 1650 Yorkhouse Road, sits on the same property as the Wastewater Plant.
