New Rabun County Democratic Party Headquarters Open
The Democratic Party has a new headquarters in Rabun County.
They held grand opening of their facility located on Depot Street here in Clayton on Friday night.
Jana Hill, chairman of the Democratic Party in Rabun County, said that everyone involved is excited for their headquarters.
“We think it’s very important from a candidacy perspective to have a place where people can come and learn more about the candidates and their position on issues.”
Jana Hill is running for State Representative for District 8, which includes Rabun County.
There is one democrat on the ballot for local races. Shawn Wilson is challenging incumbent Frank Andrews for the position of Rabun County Sheriff.
Wilson said he is excited about the new headquarters and is looking forward to November.
“This is very exciting,” said Wilson. “We’re having a good time here.”
Wilson went on to say that he is looking forward to a very positive campaign, and is looking forward to debating the issues.
The day of the General Election is Tuesday, November 6th.
