Mountain View Health and Rehab emphasizing Safety

In light of the spreading COVID-19 virus, Mountain View Health and Rehab wants to make sure the community stays informed with everything they are doing to keep loved ones as safe as possible, explains Ross McIntire with Marketing and Community Relations for Mountain View Health and Rehab.  “Our restrictions in regard to visitors are still in place and we have expanded this to limit outside packages. Employees are doing all residents’ laundry rather than allowing families the option to do that for the residents. We have also had to limit the residents’ time out of their rooms according to the guidelines of our state. To reduce the strain on residents, we are offering in-room activities like in-room bingo as well as coffee and snack carts to keep our residents occupied while we are social distancing.  While we currently have no cases of COVID-19, we are making sure we are prepared should anything change. We have designated a portion of a wing in our facility to residents returning from hospital stays and necessary doctor’s appointments in order to isolate any resident that has been exposed to anything outside our facility. We are educating staff on new techniques as they become available so that we can better care for our residents during this difficult time.  We appreciate all of the support that we have received from the community and local businesses and we are committed to keeping your loved ones safe at Mountain View Health and Rehab.”
