Mountain Lakes Medical Center remains Open

Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton remains open despite a delinquent tax notice received this week.  Chief Executive Officer Tammy Coll says it was merely an oversight during this unprecedented time of the Coronavirus.  “The notice didn’t make it to my financial department and with everything going on it completely fell off my radar but when we were tagged for taxes we immediately paid them and the hospital services were never interrupted.  I feel terrible this oversight happened, especially in the middle of a pandemic, and can just imagine how confused and worried this made our community and staff.  Mountain Lakes Medical Center is strong and continues to provide excellent care to our community.  We really appreciate all the support we continue to receive from our community and most importantly our hard-working, dedicated providers and staff.”  The hospital never closed, continues Coll.  “The hospital was never closed.  The hospital has continued to remain open and is currently open.  We were seeing patients all day yesterday, all throughout the evening, and there have not been any services interrupted.”  Mountain Lakes Medical Center continues to screen all visitors amid the Coronavirus.  The hospital has also implemented all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Medicare, and Medicaid recommendations for hospitals to provide safe and effective care to patients during the pandemic.  All visitors will be directed to the Emergency Department entrance for screening before entry into the hospital.
