Members of Rabun Search and Rescue, Fire Services, recoginized by County Commission
Earlier this month, Rabun County Search and Rescue, Rabun County Fire Services, and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources responded to a call of a boating accident in the big basin area of Lake Rabun. Over ten people were involved, however, no injuries were reported.
During the Rabun County Commission meeting on Tuesday night, everyone involved in making sure that everyone on board the capsized vessel escaped injury free were recognized for their efforts. Those were Mike Mazarky, McCord Johnson, Grayson Rogers, Tate Nichols, and Michael Crow of Search and Rescue. John Murray and Matthew Harbin were recognized as well from Rabun Fire Services.
The accident occurred during the 4th of July holiday weekend.
