Man arrested for Obstruction, Interference, and Disorderly Conduct

A man stands charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers, interference with government property, and disorderly conduct after an incident at the Knights Inn Motel in Dillard.  On August 20, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched to the motel in reference to a man who was outside of a room screaming and pounding on the walls.  The man, identified as 24-year-old Elazar Escamilla, shouted at the deputies.  He took a black marker out of his pocket, took off the cap, and made three marks on one of the deputies’ vest.  He was then arrested and continued to shout obscenities as he was taken to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking on the three charges.
