Man Arrested for DUI in Front of Police Department

A man is arrested after passing out in the parking lot of the Clayton Police Department.

According to the report on file with the Clayton Police Department, a man, later identified as Joshua Franklin Murray of Dillard, was slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle in the middle of the entrance of the Police Department with the car still in drive.

Assistant Police Chief Andy Strait said that when officers woke Murray up, they noticed that he had an object in his right hand.

“Officers had noticed the subject had a can of keyboard cleaner in his hand,” said Strait. “They removed it from his hand and asked him when the last time he had huffed the keyboard cleaner was, he said right before they arrived on scene.”

Strait said that Murray told officers he was waiting to go to court on a previous DUI.

Murray was charged with driving under the influence of an aerosol, speed less than minimum, and possession and use of drug related objects.
