Lost Child Found Safe in Oconee

Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputies and rescue teams located a missing nine year-old boy, originally from Rabun County, who moved to the Scenic Heights area of West Union. The boy was found, unhurt, in the Fairfield Road section of Walhalla. Charlie King, with Emergency Services, says the boy was reported missing at around 8:30 PM Monday. The search was initially concentrated on a wooded area near the boys home on Eastcliff Drive. Heat Seeking camera’s from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office were requested, but the boy was found before they arrived.
