Legacy Ventures to purchase The Dillard House

Forward Rabun and the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce report on its Facebook page that Legacy Ventures has contracted to purchase “The Dillard House”, tells Chamber President Rick Story. “Well, I did see the announcement and certainly want to wish the new owners the best. The Dillard House is just a long-standing Rabun County institution and we have certainly always enjoyed working with them. I have known multiple generations of the Dillard family, as a matter of fact, you know it’s Rabun County, they are distant cousins of mine. I’ve always enjoyed working with them. I know there is a long-standing family tradition there. I know that the new owners plan to continue that and carry that out and hold on to both the name and the tradition. So, I am really excited about that. I understand from what I’ve seen that a number of upgrades are proposed, according to what I saw in the Atlanta Business Journal. It sounds exciting for Rabun County. It’s really the beginning of a new era in many ways but yet the continuation of what we have had and enjoyed for so long and the continuation of an institution that really has in many ways put Rabun County on the map with its history. So. I’m excited for the new owners and excited for the Dillard family as well.” Legacy Ventures also owns and operates Lake Burton Grill, Bowline Takeaway & Bar, Max’s Lakeside, and The Swing Bar in Rabun County.
