Lakemont Man arrested for possession of Meth
A Lakemont man stands charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, and public drunkenness. On May 29, a deputy of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Highway 76 West in reference to a man walking around the parking lot scaring customers. The deputy located the man, 20-year-old Johnathan Anthony Taylor of Lakemont, and noticed he was acting very confused. The deputy discovered a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine as well as a burnt marijuana cigar. Taylor was arrested and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
