LaFevers Sentenced

The Mountain Judicial Circuit Court handed down a lengthy sentence on Friday.

Clifton Reed Lafevers plead guilty to 102 counts of theft by taking, and one count of violating the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization Act on December 15th, and was sentenced by Superior Court Chief Judge Russell W. Smith on Friday for 40 years, to serve 15, with the balance on probation and to pay restitution as ordered by the court.

Lafevers was accused of stealing over $1.4 million from his former employer, Duvall Automotive, from 2010-2014. A prior sentencing was passed down on March 3, where Judge Smith heard evidence from the state, and the defense.
