Lady Eagles Run Ends in the Final Four

The Rabun Gap Nacoochee School Lady Eagles Basketball team had an amazing season.

The Lady Eagles advanced to their sixth consecutive Final Four with a 42-28 win in the quarterfinals against Charlotte Latin, however, their season came to an end last Friday with a disappointing 41-24 defeat at the hands of the six-time NCISAA 3A champion, Providence Day Lady Chargers.

Providence Day took a 23-9 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Lady Eagles fought hard during the second half, actually cutting the lead to 27-19 heading to the fourth quarter. Rabun Gap got as close as 29-23 with just over five minutes left in the game, but Providence Day finished the game off with an impressive 12-1 run to advance to their 12th consecutive championship game.

Rabun Gap finished the season at 18-8 and earned their sixth consecutive trip to the NCISAA 3A Final Four.
