Lady Cats Move to Second Round of State Tournament

basketball girls groupHigh School Basketball Tournaments were in full swing over the weekend. The Rabun Gap Varsity Girls won over Charlotte Christian 46-38 on Thursday, but lost in the semifinals by 2 points on Friday. Lady Eagle Meona Feather was named to the All-State Team. The Wildcat Boys were knocked out of the first round on Saturday by Westminster 66-59. The Lady Cats had a big win Friday, beating Westminster 69-56. Coach Dillard made this comment on moving forward through the tournament…

“You know, I really think we try to take it one game at a time, we try not to look to far ahead, but I mean you know our ultimate goal is to try go as deep as possible in the state tournament. Hopefully this will be our year to crack that final four. We have a very tough Kendrick team ahead of us, so we’ll see how that goes.”
