Kids invited to decorate Gingerbread House at Food Bank

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia invites kids in Rabun County to come decorate some holiday treats at their location in Clayton, says Mountain Branch Director James Brim.  “On December 15, 2022, kids can come and decorate a gingerbread house or cookies and then they get to take it home with them.  It’s just something to do for the kids to have fun.”  Kids are invited to stop by the Teaching Kitchen of the Food Bank in Clayton on December 15, from 4-6:30pm to decorate holiday treats at no charge.  The Food Bank in Clayton always needs canned food and volunteers, adds Brim.  “We can always take non-perishable food.  It would be really great to come by and donate.  We can always use volunteers.  I love to have volunteers to help us out moving things and get it out the door.  So, just come by and volunteer.  If you want to donate canned food that would be really great too.”  The Food Bank is located at 46 Plaza Way in Clayton.  To learn more about volunteering at the Food Bank, visit https://foodbanknega.org.
