Increased Fire Danger

The National Weather Service has issued an increased fire danger in effect from noon on Friday, April 5, 2024, through this evening for Northeast Georgia, including Rabun, Habersham, Stephens, Franklin, Hart, and Elbert counties. Sustained winds over Northeast Georgia of 10 to 15 MPH can be expected along with gusts to 25 to 30 MPH. Relative Humidity values will drop into the 25 to 30 percent range. With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
