I-85 Northbound Lane closed due to Crash in Jackson Co.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) has closed one northbound lane at mile marker 144.5  Thursday, December 1, 2022, due to a crash that occurred on I-85 northbound over the North Oconee River around 9pm. The contractors E.R. Snell are on the scene assessing the damage.  The outer lane will be closed through Friday, December 2, 2022, and will be impacted for the morning commute. Traffic will be reduced to one lane from approximately mile marker (MM) 144 to MM 145. Motorists are advised to expect delays, using their preferred navigation apps where necessary, and drive carefully through the work zone.
