House votes to remove flag

“We continue to heal, as one people and one state.”  That from a statement early Thursday morning from Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina.  She spoke after the House of Representatives voted just after 1 o’clock yesterday morning to remove the Confederate flag from the capitol grounds in Columbia.  Haley said, “It is a new day in South Carolina, a day we can all be proud of, a day that truly brings us together as we continue to heal, as one people and one state.”
