High Turnout for Clean Election in Rabun County

Rabun County voters made their voices known in the midterm General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  Sandra Wood, Clerk for the Rabun County Elections Office, said everything went smoothly.  “The election went super well.  We had a great turnout.  Overall 66.15% of the voters in Rabun County came out to vote during either Early Voting or the day of the election.  Our workers did a super great job, everything ran very smoothly, we didn’t have any problems whatsoever, and we just appreciate all the people who helped us and made it possible for things to go as well as they did.  We are very proud of Rabun County for turning out and if we have a runoff, we expect Rabun County to show up again and that would be on December 6, if it happens.  I think that is still in the works, so we will find out about that and make an announcement on our website.  Thank you everyone for coming out and voting.”  That website is https://rabuncounty.ga.gov/ click on Your Government and then Elections.
