High Friction Surface Treatment Postponed Until Further Notice

A Rabun County road project has been delayed yet again.

The High Friction Surface Treatment that was supposed to be laid on US Highway 76 from Downtown Clayton, heading west towards the Towns County line has been delayed again by the Georgia Department of transportation, due to discussions about the aggregate that will be used in the treatment. Prior delays have usually been pushed back a weekend, but instead of naming a date that the road construction will be administered, the project has been delayed until further notice.

The High Friction Surface treatment is supposed to aid grip for vehicles during wet and icy weather.
