High Friction Surface Treatment Delayed At Least Another Weekend

The latest project from the Georgia Department of Transportation for the city of Clayton will be postponed again.

The “high friction surface treatment” that is being installed on US Highway 76 West from Clayton, heading west towards the Towns County line, has been delayed for at least another weekend, according to general contractor for Triangle Grading and Paving, Rick Brockman. Brockman says that the Georgia DOT Safety Office and Materials Lab are working through discussions about the aggregate that is used with the High Friction Surface Treatment which hopefully will be finalized this coming Monday.

Road construction is expected to begin again on July 30th and 31st.
