Help available for Hungry during Pandemic

The Coronavirus is causing many people for the first time to go hungry.  Help is available to residents of Rabun County, tells Thor Anderson, Proprietor of Operations for the Disaster Relief Team.  “No one should go hungry anytime, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. With school closures, job disruptions, and health risks, millions of Americans will turn to food banks for much-needed support. They can’t do it alone and you can help. The most vulnerable people in our communities need us now more than ever.  The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia partners with approximately 230 non-profit agencies that distribute much-needed food.  We distribute food free of charge to the ill, needy, elderly, and minor children.  If you need help, you can call the Clayton Food Bank at 706-782-0780 and they will place a box of food at the front to be picked up at 45 Plaza Way in Clayton in the old Bi-Lo store.  So, we are ending hunger in Northeast Georgia with emergency food boxes, drive-through pantries, and long-term support.  So, if you want to help, please do.”  Any donation will help make an impact.  For more information, visit https://bit.ly/2WbrF5g.
