Hazardous Weather Outlook for Rabun County

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Piedmont of North Carolina, western North Carolina, and northeast Georgia, including Rabun County.  High humidity will combine with high temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 90s Friday, July 30, afternoon to permit heat index values to reach 100 to 105 degrees. These conditions will cause stress to those without access to air conditioning and to those working outside.  This heat advisory is in effect from noon on Friday, July 30, to 8pm.
