Hazardous Weather Outlook for Rabun County

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Northeast Georgia, including Rabun County.  An exceptionally deep subtropical moisture will shift over the region on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, ahead of an approaching cold front.  Periods of heavy rainfall will develop Wednesday night and continue into Thursday.  A threat of localized flash flooding may evolve in that time period, especially along south- and east-facing ridges of the Appalachians and in any areas where soils remain saturated from recent rainfall.
