Harold Don (Donnie) Owens
Donnie was born in Dayton, Tenn. Sept. 30, 1945 to the late Marion J. Owens Sr. and Stella Hipps Owens. He was the husband of Ona Stancil Owens.He was retired from Mr.B’s Oil Company as manager of Conveince Store inventory. He was also a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Newnan Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion J. Owens Sr. and Stella Hipps Owens, by children Timothy Owens and Kimberly Owens, by 5 brothers, Marion J. Owens Jr., Bruce Owens, Wayland Owens,Charles Vernon Owens,Roy Gene Owens, and 6 sisters, Irene Owens,Martha Katherine Owens Holland,Margaret Lee Owens Eakins, Joan Owens Thomasson, Frances Geraldine Owens Price Havis, Linda Gail Owens Rillema, and is survived by a son ,Mike Owens (Tonya) of Franklin NC., and a daughter Marti Owens Scroggs (John) of Lakemont, Ga. One sister, Maxine Carson of Commerce ,Ga.,six grandchildren and four great grand children., plus a host of neices, nephews, and cousins
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday Oct. 29,2017 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home by Rev. Jim McGahee, Rev. Daniel Stancil, and Layman Frank Stancil officiating. Burial will be in the Stancil Family Cemetery in the Chechero Community, Clayton Ga.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Sunday Oct. 29,2017 from 1:00 P.M.to 2:00 P.M. (the funeral hour.) The family is at the home in the Chechero Community, Dud Creek Spur.
