Habersham temporarily providing COVID-19 Vaccinations with No Appointment Necessary
The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is currently providing COVID-19 vaccinations with no appointment necessary at the Habersham County Fairgrounds Mass Vaccination Site in Clarkesville, Georgia. The Site is accepting individuals 16 years of age or older. Any eligible 16 or 17-year-old vaccine participant must bring proof of age to the vaccination appointment in the form of government-issued identification or a birth certificate. The Site’s address is 4235 Toccoa Hwy, Clarkesville, GA 30523. It is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. “Although Habersham has moved to accommodate those who do not have appointments, we recommend everyone schedule an appointment,” said GEMA/HS Director Chris Stallings. “Having an appointment will make the process much quicker and will guarantee that you receive a vaccine.” If you have already scheduled an appointment, you are strongly encouraged to arrive at the date and time of your appointment rather than drive-up. The Columbus Civic Center Site in Columbus, Word of Life Church Site in Sandersville, and Waycross Mall Site in Waycross, remain open to drive-ups. All other GEMA/HS Mass Vaccination Sites are by appointment only. All adults 16 years of age and older can preregister for an appointment at any site by visiting myvaccinegeorgia.com. Only one appointment can be made per person.
