Habersham Co. will delay opening Administration Building on June 5

The Bike Ride Across Georgia will fill the campus of the Habersham County Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center and the surrounding area on Sunday, June 4, and early Monday, June 5.  There will be a shotgun start for roughly 2,500 bicyclists at 7am on Monday, June 5, but it will take an hour or more for the 2,500 bicyclists and entourage to clear Jacob’s Way.  For that reason, Habersham County is going to delay opening the Habersham County Administration Building until 9am on Monday, June 5.  Anyone arriving to do business that morning is asked to have patience and drive safely as they navigate through any stragglers, crews, and campsites on Jacob’s Way.  The ride will impact traffic on Monday, June 5, on Toccoa Highway, Business 441 into Demorest, Georgia Street, College Drive, Main Street, Palmer Alley, Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway, Camp Creek Road, Chase Road through Mt. Airy, then into Cornelia on Wyly Street, Summit Street, Front Street, Rosa Parks First Street, Grant Place, Irvin Street, and into Baldwin on Industrial Boulevard, Industrial Park Road, Duncan Bridge Road, Gainesville Highway, and Apple Pie Ridge Road.
