Governor Nathan Deal Appoints Rabun County Resident as new District Attorney
It appears as if the Mountain Judicial Circuit has a new District Attorney.
Former DA Brian Rickman resigned from his position after he was appointed to the State Court of Appeals in December. Governor Nathan Deal has appointed another Rabun County resident to the position, George R. Christian.
Christian, who assumed the role of District Attorney when Rickman left, has served as chief assistant of the Mountain Judicial Circuit Court under Rickman. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and his law degree from Mercer University.
Christian will be sworn in on February 16th.
